A grounding in accounting principles and practises forges the way to explore the dynamics between accounting, finance and economics, management and marketing and the law.

Students will also cover specialised areas including Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Taxation Law, Auditing, Management Accounting and Communications.

Elective units are availabe to further suit the needs of the student.

Prerequisites

Course Admission Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Commonwealth support, you must be:

  • An Australian citizen residing in Australia for all or part of your studies; OR
  • A New Zealand citizen who will be residing in Australia for the duration of your study; OR
  • The holder of a permanent visa who will be residing in Australia for the duration of your study

To be eligible for Commonwealth support for this course, you must also meet one of the following requirements:

  • Successful completion of Business Pathway and maintained a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher OR
  • Completed at least 4 OUA Undergraduate units and maintained a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher OR
  • Completed an award from TAFE or from another registered training organisation at AQF Diploma or above and fulfilled any prereq
  • Completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, obtaining a minimum score of 24 points and fulfilled any prerequisite requi
  • Completed the University Foundation Studies program or Australia’s Preparation Program for Adult Learners (UniSA-PAL).
  • Qualified for SACE or equivalent secondary school education: To be eligible for selection in 2014, applicants are required to
  • - completed 200 credits of subjects
  • - achieved a grade of C1 or better in the Personal Learning Plan, 20 credits of literacy, 10 credits of numeracy and the Resea
  • - achieved a grade C- or better in an additional 60 credits at Stage 2; and
  • - obtained a competitive ATAR of 70 or higher
